It’s over a week now since I started with the blog and I seem to be making progress.

blog.ianburnett.com (WordPress) seems to cover nicely what I wanted in terms of a simple-to-use system for publishing quick items like this. On the other hand, www.ianburnett.com (Joomla) seems to be much more flexible and extensible to cover the more permanent information I may wish to keep on my website.

I think over time, I will probably migrate the odds & sods lying around the Joomla site, onto the WordPress site. I’ll keep the Joomla site more for documentation of my Linux Mini-ITX project, plus the LCD driver software IILC. All of the blog-style stuff will stay with WordPress.

I also like the ability for people to comment on the ramblings. Comments in Joomla are possible, but trust me, they’re not worth it.
